"Beauty Secrets" isn't so full of secrets as it is good, sensible advice and instructions. I love the "less is more" philosophy it follows and the products that they mention that are good for different skin types for cleansing and also hair products. For all areas of skin, hair and nails, cleanliness is the main concern and knowing what type of hair and skin you have. Is it dry, oily or normal? It stresses that clean hair every day and a bit of styling is a necessity for always looking your best and looking presentable. Hair length and face shape are also mentioned.The makeup section goes into some detail about foundations and what type, powders, eye shadow, eye liners, mascara, and eyelid primer. That can be as simple as a quick brush of powder in order to help eye makeup stay on longer. The different types and shades of eye shadow and colors are discussed and it's good to know that the authors recommend using small amounts of everything, rather than overdoing eye makeup or any other. Eye shadow should match the color of the eyes, and not one's clothes.
Mineral makeup or cream foundation? It all depends on the type of skin you have. Tools of the trade are listed for each type of makeup and they are inexpensive suggestions. Lipstick or lip gloss? The suggestions and instructions are very down-to-earth and nothing is outrageous or something that won't fit into even a shoestring budget. They suggest shopping online to find things cheaper.
I thoroughly enjoyed this because I love reading about beauty tips, anyway. This was a free download and it was very much worth reading and also worth keeping to refer back to on occasion. A very nice beauty guide!

I did not learn a single beauty "secret" in this little pamphlet. I think I downloaded it for free and even free it was painful to read.
